Product Introduction

Q235B carbon steel wire is made of low-carbon steel with a carbon content of ≤0.20% as the base material, and is made through hot rolling, pickling, passivation and cold drawing and straightening processes. It has a yield strength of ≥235MPa, a tensile strength of 375-500MPa, an elongation of ≥26%, and can be cold-bent 90° without brittle cracking. Its hardness of HV120-140 is suitable for cutting and stamping. Its sulfur and phosphorus impurity content is ≤0.045% to ensure room temperature impact toughness (it still has more than 27J energy absorption at -20℃). After galvanizing/blackening treatment, it is widely used in building scaffolding binding, metal mesh weaving, storage shelf support and simple mechanical components. With a cost 40% lower than alloy steel and strength that meets the basic load-bearing requirements, it has become the core general-purpose wire in the field of infrastructure engineering and light manufacturing.

1. Bridges and large buildings

Carbon steel wire is used as the main cable of cable-stayed bridges or prestressed steel bars to bear the core tension of kilometer-level spans. Its high strength and galvanized coating can resist seawater corrosion and dynamic loads, ensuring the life of the structure for a hundred years. In high-rise buildings, carbon steel wire bundles improve the crack resistance of concrete, achieve lightweight design, and reduce the burden on the foundation.

2. Automobile industry

Suspension springs are made of high-carbon steel wire, which has a hardness of HRC58-62 after quenching and can withstand millions of high-frequency vibrations; transmission chains and gears are made of wear-resistant carbon steel wire, with a friction coefficient as low as 0.05, ensuring power transmission efficiency. The electric vehicle battery pack fixing bracket also uses a lightweight carbon steel wire frame, taking into account both strength and energy efficiency.

3. Mechanical manufacturing

The saw blade base is made of cold-drawn carbon steel wire with a tensile strength of over 2000MPa, and it can achieve precise cutting of metal plates with high-speed steel teeth; the spring clamp is processed by shape memory, and can maintain a positioning accuracy of 0.1mm in an environment of -40℃ to 150℃, which is widely used in CNC machine tools and automated production lines.
